Horserace betting will soon be available to Edmonton bettors.
Century Casinos have announced that it will initiate its horse racing operations in Edmonton. The company has achieved another operational accolade as the Board of Directors of Horse Racing Alberta chose Century Casinos to develop the Edmonton area. Century Casinos will build and operate horse racing facility located in the Edmonton market district.

Century Casinos to Build Century Mile Race Track
Northlands Park has also expressed interest in developing the Edmonton market area. It has recently announced that it will halt its racetrack and casino operations. Century Casinos’ grand proposal gained more positive feedback as it declared its intentions to build the Century Mile.
The Century Mile will be the only one-mile race course in Western Canada. Century Casinos expect that it will increase gaming tourism in the area as well. The horse racing venue is located near the Edmonton International Airport. It’s considered the only undeveloped area that has a potential for gaming activities.
