Smithsonian and Acorn TV channels are now available for you on iOS 12.3. Recently with the release of iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3, Apple launched its overhauled TV app, bringing new Apple TV Channels to which you can subscribe right on your iOS devices, with all payment and content handled by Apple. In Canada, the new TV app gains only two Apple TV Channels: Smithsonian and Acorn TV. These channels are also available in the U.S. as well, with the only difference that in the US you also can watch HBO, Showtime, Stars and Cinemax. Due to regional licensing, these aforementioned channels are owned by Bell Media in Canada.

The Smithsonian Channel is showing at $3.99 per month after your free 7 Day trial. Smithsonian Channel is a Canadian pay television channel, owned and operated by Blue Ant Media. Minority partner is Smithsonian Networks, owners of the American channel, Smithsonian Channel, from which the brand is licensed and much of the programming is purchased. The channel broadcasts factual programming on categories such as air and space, science and nature, pop culture, and history.
